A Pinterest Recipe Find

I found this Bake Apple Recipe on Pinterest.com and it is a keeper! Great use for the apples that are starting to go soft!
I used gala apples since that is what I had available. I put a small drop of vanilla extract in my butter & brown sugar mix and I used craisins since I didn't have any nuts. Delish!

Slideway, not Driveway

If I do not shovel my driveway in the morning (hello, workout!), I will have no option but to slide down my driveway!

seriously pinterest?

With all the cool projects I've found on pinterest.com, I've been testing out my craft & art skills. Turns out the art project I started Saturday evening was beyond my focus. Who thoughtfully plans out colors for a painting? I like abstract much better.
It was supposed to be a prism style painting. I penciled out my lines, then carefully started to paint although I didn't carefully select the colors I'd be using! But, I do have a new painting for my craft room... Even if it isn't what it started out to be!
Thank you spray paint for somewhat salvaging this one! Live & learn & paint again!

On a quick run through Target, I found an Amaryllis Bulb Kit. For the discounted $2.50, I figured if I didn't have the green thumb, or perhaps brown forefinger, for the amaryllis then at least I had a $2.50 pot to plant the next project.
The cashier tipped the poor thing over while I was checking out and a few dried leaves of the bulb dumped out. Surprisingly, the bulb had already sprouted and was just bouncing around inside the oversized pot. Or, perhaps it is not surprising to those who have purchased one of these 'kits' before.
I figure it gives me a challenge (to keep the darn thing alive!) and keeps me entertained for awhile. This plant will need a name to live with Roberta (the rubber ficus) and Patsy (the palm). And, the pot will need decorating... those are projects for another day!

Bountiful Basket Saturday!

Picked up another bountiful basket today! As always, a great selection of produce is included. I also purchased an add on of one gallon of organic EVOO from Spain. YUM!
Now, off to cook!
