Most people start the New Year with newfound motivation. I start mine with two daycations. A couple lazy days of lounge wear, naps, movies and books.
Escrow may have enjoyed the last two days more than I did! She was always at my side, or curled in the backs of my knees, while under the blankets.
My reading list for 2012 is ambitious. I want to read a book a month. This is a big goal for a girl who typically isn't a fan of reading. The encouraging news is that I have a great start. My night stand has 5 books that I've selected to read in 2012, plus 5 books that I read in 2011 that I keep near to refresh myself on a few selected chapters.
I started and finished How Do You Kill 11 Million People? by Andy Andrews this evening (it's an 80 page shorty). Nearly half of the pictured books are his. This newest book isn't released until January 3rd, but I am fortunate to have gotten my hands on it early (it's also a signed copy!). His response to the titled question is simple: Lie to them. A great read for the changes, or promised lies, that Americans will hear throughout the 2012 elections. This book has me thinking about what I'll allow myself to believe without research of the candidate or the statements they make.
Now, onto the next book! Suggestions? My Kindle Fire at the top of the stack is ready for downloads!
